Professional Landscape Architecture/Engineer Design Services
The Portage Park District is issuing a Request for Statements of Qualifications per Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65 - 153.69 for a firm to serve as the prime consultant for final design and development of construction plans and specifications for a new park in Portage County, Ohio. Submittals should not include a fee estimate proposal at this time; the Park District will evaluate qualifications and rank firms using the factors described in the RFQ. A contract will be developed with the selected professional/firm, and negotiate the project final scope and fee.

Request for Qualifications: Professional Services

Professional Design and Surveying Services
The Portage Park District is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from individuals and firms interested in providing professional design and/or surveying services where the total fee is estimated to be less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §153.65-73. Professional design services include architecture; landscape architecture; civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering; surveying; and geo-technical investigation.

Potential upcoming park projects include:

  • Boundary and topographic surveys
  • Park master plans, park and trail feasibility studies, cost estimates, traffic studies
  • Architectural and structural engineering evaluations of existing facilities, including bridges
  • Construction plans, permitting, bid specifications and construction inspection for multiple park and trail development projects
  • Design and engineering of alternative energy systems for park structures

Submittal deadline: Qualification statements will be accepted at any time, however it is the design firm’s/design professional’s obligation to keep the SOQ current.
