Enjoy Portage Parks all year round, on your own or with others at our educational programs and special events.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines to reduce public exposure to the virus, the Portage Park District is suspending all public programs until further notice. If you have already registered for an upcoming program, our Public Engagement staff will be in contact to inform you when they are rescheduled. We encourage the public to continue to visit our parks and enjoy the great outdoors and the beauty of nature this Spring. Check-in here to learn about our parks and trails and find information to facilitate learning and appreciation of nature during this extended “Spring Break”.

Programs and Activities
Each park and trail has its own character and potential for use or protection. Portage Parks strive to balance the conservation of our natural resources with public use and enjoyment. We provide opportunities for enjoying and learning about our natural areas through activities such as walking, biking, hiking, boating, fishing, geocaching, picnicking, camping, nature programs, races, and special events.
