the Portage County Auto Title Department
will be closed to the public until further notice.

Effective March 24, 2020, our hours of operations will be 
Monday-Friday 8AM - 4:30PM by telephone to assist you.

A Message from the Clerk of Courts, Jill Fankhauser


The Portage County Clerk of Courts is taking precautions to maintain a healthy environment for all participants, visitors and staff to each one of our offices.  We are actively coordinating with officials to ensure up-to-date guidance in our response to COVID-19.  All Clerk of Courts offices are open for regular business hours.  However, anyone with a fever or feeling ill is being asked not to enter the Administration Building.

Please be aware that effective immediately, the Portage County Treasurer's office is not handling transactions with the public.  As a result, the Portage County Auto-Title Department will be unable to process any mobile home titles that do not have a tax stamp.  If a current stamp is already in place, the title can be filed as usual.  Please contact the Auto-Title Department at 330-297-3450 with any questions or concerns.  We are happy to be of service
