Safety Tips:

Be cautious of unsolicited calls, texts, or emails, especially those that request personal information or payments or direct you to a link.

Verify the identity of the caller by contacting the official number of the sheriff’s office, not the number provided by the caller.

Remember that legitimate law enforcement agencies will not ask for payments via gift cards or wire transfers. 

If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and report it to your local law enforcement agency.

Always stay vigilant and protect your personal information. If you’re unsure about the legitimacy of a call or email, it’s better to err on the side of caution and verify through official channels.
