In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines to reduce public exposure of the virus, we are cancelling this program. If you have already registered for an upcoming program, our Public Engagement staff will be in contact to inform you when they are rescheduled. We encourage the public to continue to visit our parks and enjoy the great outdoors and the beauty of nature this Spring.

Thank you for your understanding and support of our parks!

Our first clues that spring is coming often come from our resident amphibians. As the temperature increases, frogs, toads and salamanders begin to emerge from hibernation to begin their courtship. We will explore these fascinating life cycles and learn how to identify what amphibious creatures you may hear this spring. Weather permitting, we will explore a vernal pool at the park. Please dress for the weather and wear your waterproof boots.

Please meet in the parking lot near the kiosk.
