It's the precise moment that the north pole of the planet points most directly away from the sun, resulting in the shortest day and the longest night in the northern hemisphere. At the winter solstice, the balance of dark and light tips and the sun begins a return trip that promises good things in the months ahead…new life, new growth, warmer weather, and those beautiful spring flowers that push their way out of the soil like clockwork. Celebrate the solstice on a leisurely walk with us at Morgan Park.
Please meet in the parking lot near the kiosk. The Morgan Park parking lot is located right on State Route 44, just south of State Route 303 in Shalerville.
