Lichen walk

Lichens are some of the most interesting and misunderstood organisms around! Portage Park District is fortunate to have one of Ohio's foremost lichen experts on our seasonal staff! Join Tomas Curtis on an informative journey through Shaw Woods to learn about and identify our local lichens. Prepare to have your view of the natural world shifted when you discover how many of these little lichen gems that you walk past every day! Please wear solid shoes and meet in the parking lot.
