Project DAWN

Project DAWN is a community-based drug overdose education and Naloxone distribution program. Participants attend a 30 minute class to learn to:

  • See the signs and symptoms of an overdose
  • Know the different types of overdoses
  • Do rescue breathing
  • Call emergency medical services
  • Give the intranasal Naloxone

Participants of the Project DAWN class will be given a Project DAWN kit which contains:

  • 2 needleless syringes containing Naloxone
  • 2 atomizers for nasal application
  • 1 face shield for rescue breathing
  • 1 instructional DVD
  • Instructions and Portage County referral information

Classes are by appointment only:
