Ohio Manager Certification in Food Protection Training

Portage County Combined General Health District is pleased to offer Ohio Food Manager Training for 2023. The ServSafe® Program (www.ServSafe.com) provides updated information for employees on all aspects of food safety, from receiving through serving. This program covers topics such as: personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees, and more.

This class delivers comprehensive training of key food safety concepts. When you successfully complete this class and pass the exam, you will receive both a certificate from ServSafe and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). This class is approved by ODH as a Manager Certification in Food Protection (formerly Level Two).

Test Only: $60.00 for test or re-test. If testing for the first time, documentation must be provided of an approved online training certification before testing. Test or Re-rest fee is non-refundable.   

To Register: Online registration can be done by visiting www.portagehealth.net. Select the Environmental Public Health tab, then Food Safety, and the follow the links under Manager Certification (level two) Training.

Fill out the application below and submit in person or via mail with appropriate payment.

Application AND payment must be received at the same time to guarantee a spot in the course.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: To receive a full refund, cancellations must be received in writing or via e-mail at least 10 days prior to your scheduled course. NO EXCEPTIONS. If cancelled within 10 days of scheduled course, student may reschedule one time for a future course without loss of payment. If a 2nd cancellation request is made, payment is forfeited, and student cannot reschedule without repayment. Any request for special accommodations must be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled course.  Test and re-test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
