The Portage County Clerk of Courts is the clerk for both Municipal and Common Pleas Courts in Portage County. The Auto Title Department is a division of the Clerk of Courts. Official records maintained by the Clerk of Courts on each case are open to the public and available by public access computer terminals at the courthouse locations. Search Court Records.

The Portage County Auto Title Department is responsible for assisting the public over the counter and on the telephone.  The department is also responsible for filing and recording liens on titles and issuing memorandum or duplicate titles on titled vehicles.  It maintains titled vehicle records, notarizes title documents, conducts title searches and cancels liens that have been satisfied.
