Without the work of the County Recorder, it would be nearly impossible to purchase land and be assured of a clear title or to lend money with land as security.

1/12/2010	Due to Budget cuts we will close at 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday beginning Jan. 12, 2010
7/1/2009	Standardization guidelines for documents recorded in this office are as follows: Computer font size of at least 10 point, Minimum paper size - 8 1/2 x 11 - Maximum 8 1/2 x 14, Black or Blue Ink only, No highlighting, Margins of 1 inch each side and bottom of page, 3 inch margin on the top of the first page, reserved for recorder, auditor & engineer (tax map), and 1 1/2 margin on top of the remaining pages. If document does not conform to these guidelines an additional $20.00 will be collected.
8/29/2008	Notice: Document images of death certificates, images that include death certificates, federal tax liens, and soldier discharges have been temporarily removed from the Recorder's web site. These documents are being reviewed for compliance with H.B. 46. We hope to have these documents back online soon. These records are available for viewing in the Recorder's Office.
